Steve the host was great, very friendly, brought his highland cows down in the morning for me to meet. His dog Aggi was also very sweet, hung out with me for a while on the porch. Highly recommend this retreat.

Situated just 20 km from Opua Forest, FOREST WATERS features accommodation in Haruru with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a shared kitchen. This property offers access to a terrace, tennis at the tennis court, free private parking and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast has an outdoor fireplace and a hot tub. We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could stay longer. Delphine & Guillaume are exceptionnal guests, passionate about what they do and they make you feel very comfortable. Our rooms were very cosy, comfy and clean. The house is very spatious and well decorated. There is even a little play room for the children. The breakfast was very good too. We would definitely come back and cannot recommend them enough.

The accommodation was exactly as described. Very comfortable, nice breakfast selection including lovely fresh sourdough bread. Jan recommended heading to the surf beach to see the last of the sun which was beautiful. She also recommended a restaurant/pub for dinner which was perfect for our last night in NZ. To top it all off, the skies were so clear from the garden, we were able to see the Milky Way and millions of stars. A perfect end to our holiday. Thanks for hosting us. Couldn't have been better.

Situated on the beachfront in Tutukaka and boasting a garden, The Sands Motel has free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. All rooms include a patio with garden views. The motel is located directly on a massively beautiful beach, with easy access, and every unit has a really good view. The staff are attentive and friendly, and rooms were clean, spacious and well kept. They accommodated our toddler with a cot.
