She was always available via WhatsApp for calls and texts, and went above and beyond to help us organize anything we needed. Her friendliness and attentiveness made our stay feel extra special, she’s honestly the best host I’ve ever met. We stayed in the Riverside Cottage, and it was breathtaking. The views of the river were serene and calming, the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. The cottage itself was spacious and beautifully set up. We especially loved the combination of the two bathrooms , one being an en-suite and the other an open-air outdoor shower and toilet, which made us feel even more connected to nature. The bed was absolutely massive, incredibly comfortable, and spotlessly clean. If you’re looking for a peaceful, private, bush-like escape surrounded by nature , this is it. Everything about Iris Retreat encourages you to unplug and unwind. A special shoutout goes to Banda, one of the staff members, who was so helpful with setting up the fire and tidying up the space , always with a kind smile and warm attitude. Guests at the holiday home will be able to enjoy activities in and around Hartbeespoort, like walking tours. Wakanda on Hartbeespoort Dam has a sun terrace and an outdoor fireplace. Location is prime, right on the dam. We could watch the sunrise from the various balcony areas on the property. The host was very friendly and accommodating to every need. The facilities on the property was enough to keep adults and kids occupied.
