Very friendly owner who did everything to make us feel welcome and always went out of her way to accommodate our needs. Mrs. Schneider made sure my child was well taken care of, especially in terms of breakfast options and we were even able to make ourselves some sandwiches to take along our trips to the surrounding area. The location of the Landhaus was quiet and very idyllic. And by car it just takes 15-30 minutes to reach most hiking paths around the Schwarzwaldhochstraße. We would gladly come and stay again some time in the future.

The property is lovely - it’s small, but it has everything for a perfect getaway. The host is extremely accommodating and thoughtful - you will find everything you need for your stay. We stayed here for the third time. As usual it was an overnight stop during the long journey across half of Europe. Location: in the Schwarzwald (Black Forest), about 15 km from A5. Quiet, nice place. Definitely worth of diversion from the motorway. Could be also a good base to explore Black Forest mountains. In the walking distance (15 min) restaurant Hirsh, unfortunately closed this time. . Hotel: A typical Schwarzwald pension run by an English/German couple. The hotel is located at the slope and has nice view for mountains. The hotel offers maps and extensive tourist information about Black Forest. Stairs: No elevator in the hotel, our room was located at the second floor (ground floor = 0), but stairs were enough wide and comfortable. Room: big and functional, a terrace offers a nice view for mountains; electric sockets: easily accessible, also near the bed; lighting: good. Bed: large and comfortable, two duvets. Bathroom: heated, enough space for your toiletries, shower cabin was OK. Breakfast: very good, large selection of food, you may eat according to your preference both French style (sweets) and German style (meat and vegetables). WiFi: strong signal, fast. Staff: nice and helpful. Parking: free parking front of the hotel, at the street, safe.

The staff were very friendly and helpful! We were there to hike in the mountains and they helped prepare hiking guides before we even got there and arranged bus passes for us! The view was breathtaking and we would definitely recommend getting the room with a balcony with a Mountain View because it was beautiful! Breakfast was great from local venders and they even had a table reserved for us each morning. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone!
