This is an exceptional experience. The owner of KOMINKA guest house went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. He even went out of his way to pick me up from the train station and dropped me off as well the next day. He took me to his favorite onsen bathhouse. Afterwards He made me dinner and put on a performance with the many different instruments he plays. His english is very good and was able to communicate with me, who knows little to no japanese. If you are looking for a truly authentic mountain japanese experience, I urge you not to miss the opportunity to stay at the KOMINKA guest house while in Japan.

This hotel was amazing! there was a games room and play area for children and a Family Onsen as well as male and female Onsens. The staff were extremely helpful and buffet restaurant served a wide range of food. The hotel was very modern and funky and the room was big enough for 5. We rented a car from Nagano and drove to Omachi through the mountains- it was quite snowy but the car was useful to get around Omachi. Nearby Jigatake Ski slope was quite small and only bottom slope was open Mid-Dec but it was perfect for younger Children.

The staffs are so helpful and friendly. The facilities are just fitting our needs. The decorations of the hotel are combining tradition and modernity. It is really a good spot for the stay of the ski/snowboarding activity. The pickup and drop-off service helped a lot to make our arrival and departure easier.

Quite clean, the beds were already made which was really easy nice to not have to set up the beds after getting there. Stayed in a tatami room with 5 people. Downstairs has free coffee, tea and water. Was very helpful when we were going to be late with check in, and even though there was not much parking left, staff helped us find a spot.
