Pension Moomin Papa is a very cute and cosy home from home. It was very warm with lovely underfloor heating, clean and tidy. You can order home cooked breakfast and dinner. The other travellers were nice and friendly. I loved my stay here!

It was large enough to be comfortable in and not feel crowded but small enough to be cozy. It felt like staying in a friend’s place rather than a hotel and we liked that. The location was ideal, a short walk to lift and among all the eating and drinking places. I had snowboard courses and that was great too.

We loved this stay! A nice tidy cottage. They have a private sauna with extra charge. The owner is helpful and always response so promptly. It has a coffee machine. They have enough dishes for all of us. We were a big group and so it was a bit packed for all and we hit our head to the stairs couple of times haha

Charming staff, beautiful location and facilities, excellent value. Great starting place and base to explore central Honsu. A very relaxed Onsen. Local food in the area is excellent and extremely friendly and welcoming to non Japanese speakers.
