Careful attention to every possible detail was visible throughout our stay. We loved the mix of older style comfort and modern amenities. The spa in the basement was a particular plus. And having a direct view of the Neuschwanstein castle was a highlight too - it was the first thing we saw in the morning and one of the last things at night. Breakfast was tasty too, and every request we had was fulfilled quickly and in a really friendly way. Wherever we’re back in the region we’ll be staying here again.

The property is clean and has a very warm feeling. The hosts are very nice. Room 2 has a very nice balcony. Breakfast is served from 7:30-9am and the breakfast room is quite cozy and comfortable.

Bergwerk/ Mine (in English) is a fabulous apartment, beautifully decorated with all the cosy comforts of home you require. Bonus was a secure underground parking in the apartment building and an on-site laundry (coin operated) in the basement. Bicycles can be rented directly from Sebastian - a fantastic host who is quick to respond to questions, always available to assist and give guidance during your stay. The apartment has a lovely balcony with stunning views of the Schwangau valley and Allgau Alps. It was great to relax on the balcony in the evenings and watch sunset over the lake and valley area. Schwangau village and the Forgensee Lake are all within a short walking distance from the apartment. Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Castles are about 4kms from the apartment - great scenic areas to walk or cycle through to reach the castles. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and experienced true Bavarian hospitality - Thank You again Sebastian, we will definitely return to "Bergwerk #no filter" when next we visit Schwangau and Füssen.
