Rockwood Hotel & Spa has a fitness centre, garden, a restaurant and bar in Ajigasawa. The hotel met our expectations, whilst rustic around the edges, the room had all the facilities we required. The beds were comfortable and the buffet offered great options that met my dietaries requirements (gluten free.) The onsite onsen was a great respite at the end of the day and it was also fun to have the karaoke bar for a bit of entertainment. The ski lockers were also a great

Every single thing - location, food, watermelon wine! The shuttle bus driver deserves an extra shoutout though. He was just so lovely. I guess I was easy to spot being the only foreigner there during my stay. But he was so kind and always had a little chat with me every time we crossed paths. These little interactions are always the highlights as a solo traveller.

Good size rooms, nice onsen, right by chair lift / rope way and spaces to hang out with a group. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! Staff were friendly and offered to drive us to another ski field when the ropeway was closed.
