Hotel in stile giapponese situato a 10 minuti di auto dal Comprensorio Sciistico di Hodaigi, il Takaragawa Onsen Osenkaku offre bagni termali in una spettacolare cornice all’aperto sul fiume... Pure magic, totally recommend the place. They pick you up from train station, assure you have a nice stay, provide quality food and the staff is well prepared. I felt really safe as a guest. Will come back 100%

The room was bright and clean, and the private onsen was amazing. There is a kitchen and a shared space where you can experience a traditional Japanese kotatsu. Everything was great except that the property is located on a hill, so you have to climb to reach nearby places. The road was very slippery on snowy days, and we almost slipped several times. I would not recommend this place for travelers with elderly people or young children.

We had such a wonderful time at Tanigawa Valley Lodge & Coffee Roastery. Staying here felt more like visiting a friend than checking into a lodge. Craig and his family are genuinely lovely… warm, generous, and full of helpful local insights. From day one, Craig helped us plan everything: hiking routes, the best nearby restaurants, even the local swimming spot his family visits daily. He even pointed out interesting local wildlife, which added a special touch to our nature walks. The rooms were super comfortable, breakfast was a delight, and the coffee… well, it lives up to the “roastery” in the name. Truly some of the best we’ve had in Japan. We’re already talking about coming back in winter to experience the area’s skiing. Highly recommended.

Hotel staff is friendly and really made us feel at home with their personalised service. We love the Kaiseki dinner, their sets breakfast, and their rooms are equipped with private onsen and it is Modernised and exceptionally clean. Their public onsen is spacious, clean and fully equipped.

Situato a Kusatsu, a 46 km da Parco delle Scimmie di Jigokudani, Oyado Yukizumi prevede il WiFi gratuito e il parcheggio privato gratuito. Traditional style furnitures but indeed very new and clean! Super nice staff. Small and cozy public bath, not many tourist so some chance u get private bath 😆 Met some cats in the carpark behind.

Ubicato a Kusatsu, a 45 km da Parco delle Scimmie di Jigokudani e 14 km da Mt. This hotel made our trip to Kusatsu Onsen extra special and I am so glqd we chose this hotel. First of all, the owner is a very kind, bright, and nice person. She was always most helpful and kind (we would have made a big transport mistake without her help, she even called the bus company to help us find the best route). The rooms were modern Japanese, beautiful, spacious, and clean. There were comfortable yukatas to wear inside as well as ones to wear outside, which allowed us to enjoy touring Kusatsu in yukatas. On the day we arrived there was a delicious macha pudding waiting in the fridge! The amenities were excellent and everything was designed beautifully. The location is very near to everything you might want to see in Kusatsu Onsen while still being in a nice, peaceful spot. The main shopping streets, yubatake, a beautiful park full of hot springs, and so many other things are just a few minutes away. There is an onsen and a sauna at the hotel, the space is soothing, beautiful, and clean. Going to bathe there was a very relaxing way to end the day and really enjoy the onsen water Kusatsu is famous for. In these spaces too the amenities were excellent. We had an excellent experience and would certainly choose this hotel again. And thank you so much again to the very kind owner! :)

La nostra stanza in stile tradizionale era davvero molto grande e con una bellissima vista sulla valle e il monte Tanigawa. L'onsen privato era più grande di quanto ci aspettassimo sulla base di foto di posti analoghi e dotato di balcone con vetrate apribili. Bellissimo! Cibo e ospitalità sono stati perfetti. La loro navetta privata ci ha prelevati e riportati dalla stazione di Minakami assecondando le nostre esigenze di orario.

Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. All the staff are polite, helpful and always with a smile. Breakfast was tasty and like an art. Room was comfortable and clean. The 24-hour self service coffee and juice bar was a great bonus. Just wanted to say all good reviews by previous travelers are 100% accurate.
