Stryn Ski Centre is 30 minutes’ drive away. Free parking is available at Hjelle Hotel. Rooms and food were lovely, Host very helpful.

All units in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. With a private bathroom equipped with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Elva Hotel also offer a mountain view. All guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge. Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Made us feel at home. Great restuarant in the evening and for breakfast.

Store Ringheim’s restaurant is open on most days and serves a variety of homemade meals. Guests also have the hotel bar in which to relax after a day out in the surrounding mountains. It also has a garden. An incredible experience. Everything hit the mark! The setting on a hill. The comfort and class of the rooms. The thoughtful hospitality of the proprietors that are going out of their way to make your stay warm and pleasant, from a personal pickup at the station, to attending to you over breakfast. The food at Restaurant Flor'n was delicious with great ambience. The gardens are beautifully maintained. Couldn't have imagined a better stay.

Breathtaking views, free boat and kayak rental. The host was incredibly kind and showed us everything we needed to know. Far away from the usual tourist crowds. Everyone fell in love with this small, peaceful place – a hidden gem that leaves a lasting impression. Sadly we stayed only one Night. This was definitely not our last visit.

If you would like to discover the area, hiking, skiing and cycling are possible in the surroundings. We really loved this place. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is really awesome. There are plenty of activities that you can do in the nearby and a lot of places you can see. Björn told us about most of them, there was a lot of information to digest from first meeting. :) The kitchen is pretty well equipped. I would gladly return.

The house was perfect in every way—cozy, beautifully maintained, and with the most stunning views over the mountains and lake. Waking up to this scenery felt like a dream. The host Jarle was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home, adding a personal touch that made our stay even more special. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we truly hope to return one day. Highly recommended to anyone visiting this amazing part of Norway!”

Skiing, cycling and hiking are possible within the area, and A home away from home offers ski-to-door access. We loved staying in this house. We stayed only for 2 nights, but wish we could have stayed longer. The house is beautiful, well maintained, and has an amazing view. It was super clean and had all we needed, fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of towels. Beds were very comfortable, which is important to us. Also, you can completely darken the rooms, another big plus. The communication with hosts was perfect. They are very thoughtful and provided a list of attractions, restaurants, and hikes in the area. That was really useful since the area has so much to offer and it helped us choose the activities for our limited time there. We went to Briksdalsbreen glacier. The house is near a ski resort, so it must be a great place to stay in the winter. We highly recommend this house and the hosts.
