I stayed in the J hotel for three nights. It was an amazing experience. It exceeds my expectations for a hotel in all aspects. I strongly believe that whoever travels to Shanghai, as long as financially capable, staying in this hotel is a must. Otherwise, the trip to Shanghai would not be considered complete, and you will regret it.

Great spa area, sauna and steam room -- that are all very relaxing, as most people staying in this hotel are here for business, and literally never use the facilities. :) Come to relax in the aftrenoon, it feels like a Japanese Onsen. :)

The hotel staff were very professional, kind, welcoming, and always eager to help answering to any request. Room was pretty spacious, very clean, well equipped and with a fantastic view over the Lujiazui financial center. The outdoor swimming pool with the view was amazing with the perfect weather during our stay. Massage was very good as well. Breakfast is amazing.

Two nights at the peninsula was the perfect end to our trip in China and really made our experience in Shanghai extra special. From the spacious room (with a dressing room and river view!), to the stunning facilities (particularly loved the pool, sauna and steam room!) everything is so well thought through. Breakfast was ample and delicious! All of the staff are so lovely and the concierge team are also excellent and booked our dinners in for us which was much appreciated. Highly recommend staying here!

Have stayed here before. Knew it was a great hotel and so returned. Perfect location in the centre 5 mins walk from The Bund. Great, professional and warm staff. Clean, well appointed rooms, comfortable beds and good aircon. Very good breakfast too. Very relaxed, grand hotel - was amazing to come back to after a days sightseeing. Amazing spa on the 4th floor too ‘Secret Garden’ . I will return to this hotel.

Quiet Location, spacious rooms, nice swimming pool and even a small SPA with Sauna! The Room Service was super friendly, so was the rest of the staff. Breakfast choices were good, perfect mix of western and local cuisine. Nice and chilly gardens in the back of the hotel.
