We enjoyed a lovely relaxing time with excellent food. The hotel is set within beautiful Dartmoor park with Haytor in the distance. We enjoyed really amazing food in the dining room for both breakfast and dinner, and and a relaxing bottle of wine in the lounge. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The price is a really great value.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hartnoll Hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly, we had a lovely room which was larger than we expected as it was called a "cosy double". The food was excellent, especially the homemade bread. Locationwise it is possible to walk about quarter of an hour along a footpath to arrive at Knightshays NT property, which is very well worth a visit.

A beautiful hotel, well-situated for a seaside holiday, with ocean views, the town and beach an easy walk (and a number of exceptional hikes available leaving from the front door), and a delicious breakfast spread every morning as well as cooked-to-order dishes all included in what we felt was a very reasonable price. Bovey castl;e is in a beautiful location. The staff were universally helpful and friendly. We did a number of activities whilst there (archery, air rifles, gin/cider making, birds of prey) and all the instructors were great (knowledgable and informal). Rob in the Golfs hop was also super helpful in getting us out on the course for a few holes. The equipment was also good quality for all the activities.. We stayed in a 3 bed lodge which was very well equipped and cosy. Overall really pleased with our 5 night stay for 3 generations of the family. The staff seem happy and friendly and this gives the hotel a relaxed and socialble atmosphere.

Positioned on the northern bank of the River Teign, the Passage House Hotel is less than 1 mile from Newton Abbot Racecourse.
