This place is truly awesome! Simone and her staff spoiled us completely. The restaurant was exceptional, both in variety and quality of the meals! We also had great dives at the beautiful Bunaken dive sites with the crew of the Thalassa Dive Center who made sure that our diving experience was great. The bungalows at the new Thalassa resort are spacious, have great terraces and are a joy to stay in.

This is my second stay at Kuda Laut; I spent 8 days last year and decided to return for more diving and underwater photography for 9 days. I enjoyed again both the hotel facilities and the Bunaken reef and wall dives. The dive boats are well equipped and the dive guides well trained and safety conscious. My special thanks to Luther, my guide in 14 dives, and to the very friendly personnel of the resort. The only negative thing is the many hours of flight from New. York. I hope to return again.

The hotel is a low-rise white building located among fields and with views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel's main attraction is the large pool which is a hot 'onsen' rather than a cool swimming pool and was a very comfortable refuge from the cool and rainy highland weather when we were there. The room, bathroom and breakfast were all satisfactory. The broad corridors and white decor create a spacious, well-ventilated feel.
