From the facilities and staff to the food, this place was exceptional. Nestled in the middle of rice fields outside of the busy Ubud. The swimming pool is beautifully located next to the restaurant under the trees, with butterflies and incense floating in the air. Explored Ubud a few times, just a short motorcycle journey to the North. The hotel rented a motorcycle for me for a reasonable fee and with zero fuss, which was fantastic. The staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing me to modify my booking a few times. I enjoyed it so much that I stayed a bit longer.

Very nice, decorative and clean garden and room. Helpful and we where even allowed to take a shower in the afternoon after check out before departing to the airport.

- Reception ( Bella and Ayu ) were more than perfect for welcoming us at Merak village , smiley , polite, and they were explaining for us everything at the hotel and were ready to answer any question and ready to help. - Room was just amazing , they clean 2 times, and has a nice view and the sound of the river let you really feel in the heaven. - Housekeeping, ( Dewa, wili & Adi ) were ready to assist us and always they keep our room clean. - Restaurant, All staffs were smiley and they great us warmly every morning when we come to our breakfast. And have nice hospitality. - Over all the Merak Village for sure on our list for our next coming to Ubud and I highly recommend it. - Finally, thanks for every one there for an amazing hospitality that let us feel at our second home. If you have doubts about this one - don't. This hotel is definitelly the cosiest place on the planet earth. Never seen so accomodating, open and caring staff in my life. They definitelly went an extra mile for all our needs. But what was the most impressive they felt like a friends rather than the staff. They also have very interesting free activities in the hotel, must try! You can learn so much about the culture them during that time. Complimentary shuttle bus ready to take us around the Ubud area was VERY convenient, thank you!
