The location makes it the best place to stay in Varanasi. Just next to the river you can use the back door to reach the river in less than a minute. It also has a roof top where you can view the river and the other side. I was able to. Wake up eary and see the sunrise, the boats and monkes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner showed me where to shope at and offered to hold my bag after check out.

The property overall is very good, the location is. Or ideal but nothing takes more than 20 mins. What is excellent is the staff. They helped me with all of my needs, from booking a guide, helping me sort my train, giving me option to stay and use facilities of the hotel until my train left etc. truly everyone that I had an encounter was great, from the concierge to all of the waiters and bell boys. Great stay at the Taj.
