The view was wonderful! Room was spacious. Lots of walking along the sea. It is a holiday town so summer would be very different. In March it was very quiet with many places not open.

Featuring a large pool and panoramic sea views, Messapia Hotel & Resort is 0.6 mi outside Leuca center. During summer, it provides entertainment.

We loved the exceptional and warm hospitality, the beautifully designed room with comfy bed, amazing breakfasts (best. eggs. ever.), gorgeous pool area with landscaped garden, ability to walk to two charming towns for dinner, close proximity to the sandy beaches (including "Maldives of Salento") on Ionian coast, and Roberta and Linda offering just the perfect recommendations on where to go--whether to a local restaurant, favorite lido, or Tricase's Farmacia Balboa for a killer cocktail while gazing onto an idyllic piazza. Additional pluses: excellent massage, lovely guests met at breakfast, and the cutest four-legged friend, Shela, there to greet your return every day. Already looking forward to the next visit!

The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The host was amazing: wonderful breakfast and gave us suggestions for sightseeing. The courtyard for the rooms were private for the guests, spacious and beautiful. Great value for the price. Feels like a private get-away.

 the hotel was clean and in nice shape I like that it had sensors to shut the lights off when they were not in use. I also liked that it had a gym and the staff was very attentive despite that I speak English and they spoke Italian.
