Danna has been my favorite place for the past 8 years. Back then, I came here with my parents and said that when I got married, I wished to stay here with my wife. And now, I’m here for my honeymoon! 😍

Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is too good. Private beach inside hotel easier for us to go. View from Balcony is spectacular.

Our stay at Casa Del Mar was perhaps the most ideal, relaxing stay we have ever experienced. My husband actually sat still for several days, poolside, and read a book (!!!), dipped in the pool occasionally, slept in the shade, meditated on the ocean scene spread out before him (jet skis far enough in the distance to be interesting but not noisy, parasails colorfully dotting the warm blue skies against puffy white clouds). Breakfast was declicious with western and suburb local offerings—-and plenty of everything. Bar service was exceptional throughout the day. We dined on site one night and the menu, food, and service on the beach was, again, exceptional. The entire staff was all smiles and eager to please—-we felt so very welcome. And—drum roll: the turndown service each evening was charming! We would go out to dinner (the hotel is steps away from the throng of downtown Cenang with all it’s shopping and dining options) though the facility itself feels miles removed) and when we’d return to our room, the lights were dimmed, soft jazz was playing on the internet radio, the sheets were exquisitely “turned” with clever little tokens of paper messages about the weather forecast for the next day, suggestions of what to do, etc. It was like getting a fortune cookie on your bed (without the calories!). Speaking of calories, as part of the turndown service, they also provided large ceramic mugs with fixings for either tea or hot chocolate. And they always had a jar of peanuts and coconut cookies to nibble on throughout the day. And we strongly encourage folks to reserve a “high tea” at least one afternoon. Their tiered trays of savory and patisserie dainties was just as delightful as everything else. We originally considered staying at the hotel further north—-the one with the rooms out over the water. But we opted to be within walking distance of town/activity and we are so very, very glad with out choice. Casa Del Mar is an exceptional hotel and great value!

The villa was exactly like what we we were expecting. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room service forgot to clean the room in the morning and when we came back to the villa at night after informing the front desk the cleaners came within 15 mins at 10 pm. Extremely good service. Would definitely visit again!

By far the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The Datai is located in a stunning 10 million year old rainforest and has so much charm. It’s truly stunning. It’s relaxing and peaceful. We chose this property due to its efforts and commitment into conservation of the local nature (fauna and flora) and their efforts with sustainability. This was clearly evident. Seeing the giant squirrels , dusky langurs, hornbills and more were a highlight and just incredible , especially to see them thrive in the area. Shout out to Dev! our very knowledgeable rainforest guide who is so passionate about conservation and sustainability! keep it up Dev! The room, all the dining areas, pool areas and beach area were immaculate and so relaxing. We have never been so well looked after by all of the staff. The staff are outstanding. Everyone is so friendly and they always know who you are and what your needs are. No words can justify just how incredible the Datai is. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable and relaxing stay. we can’t wait to come back soon.

Great location, clean, great rooms, pool and stuff. We had a great time!

This hotel is the best value for money I have ever experienced in a hotel. We came here during honeymoon, and booked only for two days trial out of our four days stay in Langkawi, and we regretted not booking the four days because we couldn’t find a free room to extend our stay. The idea that it is in an isolated island might sound discouraging, but it turned out to be great. The place is exceptional, and the staff are quite friendly (save a single waiter in the restaurant 😄). All you need is there, and we will definitely try to come here again in the future.

Breakfast buffet was great. Beautiful place. Nice staff. Beach beers were nine ringgit. There's a grocery store about a 10 or 15 minute walk north which was helpful too.
