The hotel is excellent, beautifully furnished, exceptionally large rooms with a spacious bathroom and lovely balcony right in the heart of Velden. The spa is very nice and the breakfast was tasty with a wide range of options available. The restaurant is very good and we ate lunch and dinner there also and it was very good. We also took advantage of the free bicycle option and cycled all the way around Lake Worthersee, a very nice trip. Expensive but standard for the location. We didn't use the lake access but were given passes if we had wanted to do so.

The staff was excellent, and the lobby area was beautiful. Room was wonderful and comfortable. Breakfast was so amazing that I now order the tea that you served at breakfast because it was so wonderful. The bar tenders were amazing, and the breakfast staff were wonderful. It was truly a vacation well spent at Hotel Raunig! At first, we thought we’d be missing out on a lot since it seemed like the season had just ended—but we were wrong! The place was calm, quiet, and absolutely beautiful. Stunning view on the balcony! We even got a great deal from the hotel that included a Kärnten Card, which gave us free entries to some of Carinthia’s most beautiful places and attractions. We were just a day late for the boat trips -- they ended exactly the day we arrived, but everything else made up for it. The breakfast and dinner were always good! Honestly, they went beyond our expectations every time. And what made our stay even more special was the humble couple who owns and manages the hotel, they were so accommodating and kind. Plus, they have a super friendly dog who seems to love every guest that walks in! 🥹 Quiet surroundings, good food, and warm people, what more can we ask for? I would highly recommend this place. ☺️
