Boasting a spa and wellness centre and views of garden, Altstadt Apartments Melk mit Sauna is an apartment set in a historic building in Melk, 800 metres from Melk Abbey. I booked the apartment for few days for my wife and she really enjoyed everything in the apartment. Freshly renovated apartment, good condition of furniture , spacious bathroom, comfortable bedroom (according to my wife, the best mattress ever!), many tiny details in the apartment though out carefully for the comfort of guests. The hosts (Marina, Mariella) were very responsive to all queries and welcoming. The apartment is quite close to the busy tourist area, bit not very much (at the end of the street), so you can escape noise from the restaurants in the evenings and enjoy quite evenings. Spacious garden in the yard and the sauna is great as well. Next time we are going to visit the place with all our family.

In a scenic location in the Wachau region overlooking the town of Krems, The 4-star superior Steigenberger Hotel & Spa Krems is 2 km from the centre. It offers a large spa area, and a restaurant. We came for the Christmas markets & were not disappointed! Nicely appointed room w/terrace & view towards vineyard. Peaceful area on the edge of town. Comfortable beds. Bathrobe & slippers provided. Walking distance (partly downhill) into Krems Old Town. Great location for also touring, for example, the Gottweig Monastery, Durnstein & Melk. Breakfast was very plentiful w/choice of eggs to order. Good coffee at breakfast. Parking just in front of the hotel, though filled up quickly by evening (there is a paid garage). Overall, a fantastic & relaxing stay!

Very nice place. The quality of the spa was unexpectedly fabulous, and appreciated after cycling for several days. Comfortable room and beds. Our dinner was very good, eating outside on their patio. Good breakfast and well set up for cyclists.
