Nestled amongst the natural and lush greenery of the rainforests near the border between Malaysia and Brunei, Mulu Marriott Resort is located on Melinau Paku River in Miri. The resort boasts a large fitness centre, pool and a sauna. It is 20 minutes from the Mulu Airport by car. The staff were so nice. The bedroom was large, quiet, and very comfortable. Biggest breakfast selection I've ever seen, and food in general was top quality. Regular shuttle buses to the park/airport and return pickup. Very comfortable lounges for chilling out when not on tours.

Located off the coast of Borneo on Gaya Island, Bunga Raya Island Resort & Spa features spacious villas with a private balcony. The resort boasts an outdoor pool and 3 dining options. Free WiFi is accessible from the villas. We were absolutely blown away by everything. There weren't many people staying at the resort so it felt so special, secluded, and peaceful. The photos don't do the resort, the services, or the scenery justice! We were going to stay at the Gayana marine resort for the overwater huts but they got damaged during the king tide, so this wasn't our first choice of resort. But we were thoroughly impressed by this place and think it was probably even better than the overwater huts I had been dreaming of! The private beach at Bungaraya is truly special and serene (no other resorts in this cove). Our beachside villa was so spacious and in pristine condition, with beautiful hibiscus surrounding the private pool, a short path leading to the beach which we could enjoy views of from our porch, and plenty of wildlife to enjoy just from our porch (lizards, monkeys, hornbills). By the beach we didn't have an issue with bugs (and I usually get eaten alive). The beachside villas are also great for a short walk to the restaurant and to the free kayak/SUP/snorkle gear checkout hut. Definitely worth splurging on the beachside villas. The coral reef accessible from the resort was beautiful (and healthy!) with lots of colorful fish and even some blue spotted sting rays. The food and service was also outstanding. That's not something we usually consider when looking for places (we usually just peruse the photos and available activities), but it was an important part of why our vacation was so enjoyable. We felt like royalty here, which was perfect for our honeymoon. We will definitely be back.

The property is situated 10 km from North Borneo Railway, 13 km from Likas City Mosque and 2.7 km from St. Michael Church Penampang. The property is non-smoking and is set 6.8 km from Sabah State Museum & Heritage Village. The room was tastefully decorated, the bed was really comfortable, the facilities were amazing (water filter, kettle, tea and coffee). I liked how I was able to control the lighting in the room and there was also a desk.

Families can enjoy quality time at the Games Room, while adults relax at the Bar Lounge or enjoy karaoke in a vibrant setting. The hotel’s Coffee House serves a delightful mix of local and Western cuisine, and the Sunset Terrace offers an unforgettable dining experience against a breathtaking backdrop. The deluxe room was spacious, even the toilet. The bed is probably the most comfiest we have ever experienced in KK. Overall, if you are looking for a mid budget hotel with maximum comfort this is it.

You can relax in the poolside cabana or enjoy a pampering massage at the spa. Staff at the 24-hour reception are happy to assist you with airport shuttle and laundry services at an additional charge. Activities can be arranged at the tour desk on site. We appreciated that we were able to check in early. Hotel staff were accommodating and always ready to give a helping hand.
