Oh my goodness, it is so cool. The spa! Just gawking at its beauty is transformative. Chimborazo cleared for us, and we saw every bit of the glaciated 20,400' peak. And did I mention the food? Gourmet, lovely presentation, reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet made it hard not to get absolutely stuffed. What an incredible place.

Everything was so nice and it is a very quaint hacienda. The staff was great, especially Rafael who was so helpful in answering all my questions and was always happy to help. The food was delicious. Our room was super clean and comfortable. I have nothing bad to say about my stay. The bed and linens were luxurious.. the added touches of the turn down service of putting heated water bottles in our bed to warm it up before bedtime, the chocolate tasting left by our bedside.. and I still can't believe the modern toilet seat with the seat warmer and bidet! A heated toilet seat makes such a difference when it is so cold like it is so high up in the mountains where this place is. The horseback riding and our guide Miguel was amazing, and the horses were very healthy and well trained. We also booked a massage and hung out in the steam room and hot tub- which was perfect after our horseback riding adventure.

This gorgeous hotel is on a stunning little street lined with Sycamore trees. It is a complex of traditional buildings very well designed and integrated. The rooms and garden terraces and courtyards are lovely and comfortable. The breakfast is unique in all Ecuador as it includes excellent croissant beurre (fait maison). The dining spaces are so attractive and filled with interesting art. The service is very, very attentive.
