Hôtel & Spa Le Bouclier D'or is located in the historic La Petite France district in a 16th Century building, a 5-minute walk from Strasbourg Cathedral. This perfect little haven in the Petite France area of Strasbourg was an ideal base to explore this beautiful historic city. This renovated old building has everything - character, history, vintage furniture and modern facilities. We visited Strasbourg during the Christmas Market and while it was only a few minutes walk to the major market squares and the local restaurants, the immediate vicinity was pretty quiet - almost no vehicle traffic and just a few pedestrians, who mostly seemed to be taking their kids to the school opposite. We only saw one staff member (I’m sure there must be others) but he was very welcoming and informative, giving us good tips on where to go. We loved our room, which was very nicely furnished, but also had plenty of power points, a device charger on the desk and the most fantastic shower.

Guided us from parking to hotel and then when we forgot a few things in the room when leaving the hostess ran to garage to bring them to us.

One of the very best apartments we have stayed in, the village is Beautiful, ideally placed for a visit to Strasbourg and Colmar. Very well equipped with everything you could need. Very warm welcome when we arrived with very helpful information about area. Would definitely recommend, hope to visit for longer so we could use the pool.

We had a wonderful staying there. The room was very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed very much the sauna and the spa. Our hosts were very kind; they helped us with suggestions for visiting, even made reservations for us. The breakfast was good; it had many home made and local products. Looking forward to returning here

The hosts were friendly and helpful with suggested options to our itinerary. The breakfasts were homemade and amazing. Private parking was a plus. The location was centrally located for our day trips to various Christmas markets.

Pleasantly surprised to find multiple saunas and spas available for our use. Close to beautiful restaurants and wineries (caves) across Alsace, and easy access to Strasbourg (amazing XMAS Markets). Thanks to the helpful staff.

The environment is peaceful and quiet. We loved it!
