The property is set on a large private plot which was totally fenced in giving us peace of mind for our dog to explore. The outside space is well maintained with a lovely variety of trees/plants with seating areas near the house and in the pool (not heated) area, all set in very quiet surroundings just outside Lesterps. Thierry was a good communicator and has furnished the property to a high standard from the bathroom and kitchen fittings to the comfortable mattresses and bedding. The property was very clean and was obviously cared for. The goats are friendly especially when giving them treats! Confolens is a pretty town 15mins drive and Limoges 45mins. All members of our party of eight would be happy to visit again.

The two gîtes were very well appointed and the grounds were just as described and the daily croissants and baguettes were an amazing touch. (Including an extra touch of searching out gluten free options) Our hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating with daily recommendations on activities, dining, and adventures. Always available when needed, but allowing privacy otherwise. Would 100% recommend 1854 Chassors if you need a private get away for yourself or a small group of friends.
