We always stay in 5 star hotels, this holiday trip we visited 3 different hotels. But only this hotel can be called truly 5 star, the other more like 3 or 4 as every detail is perfect.

Yes, it does have location, location, location, but it doesn’t rest on that. The building is magnificent, and the rooms are excellent. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too. Also, the attached cocktail / Cognac bar is not to be missed, you’d visit there just for the perfect Cognac experience regardless of whether you are staying there or not.

I loved the apartment, the little terrace, the spa bath, the furnishings, the entrance hall and so on. The location is perfect for the town centre and easy to get to the restaurant area on foot. Parking is also easy and very possibly just outside or nearby the apartment building. I'll definitely be back when I've finished travelling.

The property is set on a large private plot which was totally fenced in giving us peace of mind for our dog to explore. The outside space is well maintained with a lovely variety of trees/plants with seating areas near the house and in the pool (not heated) area, all set in very quiet surroundings just outside Lesterps. Thierry was a good communicator and has furnished the property to a high standard from the bathroom and kitchen fittings to the comfortable mattresses and bedding. The property was very clean and was obviously cared for. The goats are friendly especially when giving them treats! Confolens is a pretty town 15mins drive and Limoges 45mins. All members of our party of eight would be happy to visit again.

We have just had the best week at this absolutely fantastic gite. Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, like a home from home where we could completely relax and unwind in comfort and style. There is an amazing pool, in the most idyllic surroundings (within the ruins of the old Cognac distillery... what could be better when visiting Cognac!). There are 3 beautiful, peaceful gardens that are fully enclosed, allowing children to run free, pick the fruit, and play with a fabulous selection of garden games. The covered BBQ area and traditional pizza oven were super. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely welcome basket, and a wonderful selection of fresh pastries were delivered to our door each morning, such a treat! This magical place offers the perfect mix of traditional French charm and modern luxury. Last but by no means least, the owners Barb and Kevin were the best, so incredibly kind and accommodating. We can't wait to come back!
