The location was accessible and along a main road; the host was flexible with regard to check-in; there was plenty of space to relax inside; check-in could be managed remotely; and there was a voucher for breakfast at a nearby hotel.
The lady at reception who checked us in was friendly and offered us tea and delicious cake to bring to our room. Our room was located at the rear of the hotel and overlooked a rockery garden. We really liked the good selection on the breakfast menu as well as the buffet choices. Staff and service were excellent. There is a relaxing feel to this lovely hotel with it's interior decoration and comfortable spaces to sit in.
Breathtaking views, fine atmosphere, perfect hospitality/service, fine food, relaxing spa (sauna with a view); a place with a good character, perfect to relax and as a basis for trips in Connemara. Thanks to the whole team!
Excellent location to have a relaxing time, not far from a Kylemore Abbey, boat cruise and Connemara national park. Very spacious bathroom and bedroom, comfortable bed. The host Cathy is very friendly and attentive. Good choice for breakfast.
The house is close to Oughterard and we found the area to be very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation itself is finished to a very high standard, it is very clean and surprisingly spacious. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking a good meal. Host Eileen was so nice; she included lovely touches such as providing treats, snacks, and breakfast. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a little bit of quiet luxury.
The location was hard to beat. Food and staff great and the spa facilities were excellent. We especially appreciated the outdoor hot tub and sauna and being able to plunge into the sea a few yards away.
Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Small enough to be personal but yet enough space in the hotel to feel like we almost had the place to ourselves. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent dinner - the gin cured Salmon starter was probably the best thing I've eaten this year. Nice touch to be given a glass of prosecco for our wedding anniversary. A nice big comfortable bed. Very clean bathroom and nice towels, bathrobes. Hot tub with a view of the lough. Breakfast was excellent. Not a TV in sight- total relaxation!
- So amazing to view the countryside and lake😍 - Great shower and hot water - Comfortable to sleeping on the large thick mattress - Lovely and friendly service - Lovely breakfast - So relaxing and switch off the mind - Easily to parking the car and plenty of space - Service fresh water of glass bottle, tea and coffee in the room.
The view from the room was incredible and perfect location to visit. The rooms are very clean and they also offered breakfast which very good menu and tasty food. You also have a bar in the hotel, which makes it handy if you want to have some drinks in the comfort of the hotel. The spa was very nice and relaxing. The personal was very nice and caring.
