Sansuiso Tsuchiyu Spa provides a sauna and a hot spring bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Fukushima, 24 km from Nihonmatsu Station. Loved everything! Best way to relax and let your body soak into the onsen waters. Food 10/10 also!

Located in Ashinomaki Onsen, 渓谷美の宿川音 provides air-conditioned rooms with private open-air hot spring bath. While the area is a bit remote, there is a bus stop 100m away from the hotel. The staff didn't speak English too well, but always had a lot of patience with me, so using translation apps made things easier. They will go above and beyond to make sure you get what you need. While the private onsen was sadly booked out, I did enjoy my lovely river and mountain view. Breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing, with tons of food choices!

Situated in Iwaki, Fukushima region, Super Hotel Fukushima Iwaki is located 16 km from Aquamarine Fukushima. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Clean, easy checkin and checkout. Breakfast also was much better than what I usually see in similar level hotels!

Set in Aizuwakamatsu, in a historic building, 3.4 km from Mount Iimori, Aizu Higashiyama Onsen Shosuke no Yado Takinoyu since1880 is a recently renovated ryokan with an open-air bath and garden. The staff was wonderful and helpful with everything we needed. The place is beautiful and located right by the river. We had a perfect stay!

Located within Bandai-asahi National Park and by Lake Hibara and Goshikinuma Volcanic Lakes, Urabandai Lake Resort offers accommodation with free WIFi in Kitashiobara. The bed was so comfortable that we stayed an extra night. The buffet is worth it!
