An full apartment sized room, a soak in one of the two hot springs, two western-style breakfasts, our favorite hotel on a 15 hotel tour of japan. Front of house and chef were both great.

Everything, what a place , one of the best hotels I have stayed in and the Motorsport museum is great and the view of the track is fantastic

Facing the beachfront, Pearl Star Hotel ATAMI offers 5-star accommodation in Atami and features a fitness centre, terrace and restaurant. Private onsen in the room was great. Very clean and well maintained. Restaurant food was excellent. Right next to the beach, very convenient!

2.7 km from Atagawa You Yu Beach in Higashiizu, Bousui offers accommodation with access to a sauna, hot spring bath and hot tub. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, and the service was truly outstanding - Japanese hospitality at its finest. I visited with my mom, and having grown up in Tokyo and stayed at many ryokans over the years, this one easily ranks among the very best.

They went above and beyond for our experience. Directions were extremely clear. We were welcomed with a personal message from the hosts and gifted some treats! The beds were comfortable and soft! We asked for dinner reservations and the recommendations were awesome! Great food and great views.

Set in Kannami, 29 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, ファスティングホテル海の杜 offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a spa and wellness centre. It was a larger room, easily 400 SQ FT. Very comfortable. The proprietors were very kind.

Set in Izunokuni and only 10 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, Fugaku Hanabusa offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The Hotel is a bit far from the station, and one needs to walk till the property as there is no bus service as well. But otherwise, the royakan is amazing, specifically for the tourists. The do have private onsen as well, which for non-Japanese tourist, is a plus if they are shy in accessing public onsen. That was the highlight for us. Other than that, throughout the two days we saw Fuji-san from our room and it was spectacular, specifically at the night. There is also a supermarket few meters away from the property that is opened 24/7. If you want to eat vegan, then you will have a bit of challenge but otherwise there are plenty of restaurants. Overall, a great choice. Will always recommend it to others.

Mayu Futahari has sea views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Nishiizu, 1.1 km from Ohama Beach. This 4-star ryokan offers a spa experience, with its hot spring bath and hot tub. All of the meals were exceptional. We loved having the privacy of being able to dine in our own meal room with an absolutely gorgeous view. We also loved being able to have our own onsen/rotenburo out on the deck. The notch in the balcony railing was great so we could see the beautiful scenery. And the amenities and all the complementary linens and clothing was extremely nice.
