River Retreat Garaku offers luxurious modern rooms and suites for a peaceful getaway on Jinzu River. Food: The Japanese style breakfast and French dinner were both exquisite. Room: Fabulous view of the river from the room. Clean, cosy and you can find many little things that show the thought put into the design. For example, there is a small sliding window between the bedroom and the bathroom that you can open and close. Spa: The experience was so pampering and relaxing, I fell into deep sleep and woke up feeling incredibly refreshed.

Wonderful old building, art deco style. Charming room with great view on the sea. Very nice and big onsen, also an outside one with a sea view. Lovely staff, very helpful with all our questions. Delicious dinner.

Hotel is only 10 mins by car from Tateyama station where you can take a wonderful Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine journey. We stayed in a very spacious, clean and comfortable Japanese style bedroom with a beautiful mountain view. Although the shower room is small, it is well lit, comfortable, and has a strong shower stream. Japanese dinner and breakfast are excellent. We also enjoyed onsen and open bath facilities. Worth mentioning is the warm welcome by the hotel staff.

Ideally located just a 1-minute walk from Uozu Station, this hotel features spacious public baths, complimentary coffee services and free-use internet PCs at the business centre. I forgot my charger and I could borrow one for free from the reception. The public bath is also quite large, and outdoor bath is also available.

We appreciated the prompt check in when we arrived. The front desk employees communicated with us in our language of English which was greatly appreciated. The rooms were visibly clean as was the entire hotel. Breakfast was pretty good! The eggs were especially delicious.
