The eco-friendly Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa - Thema Collection sits on the sandy shores of Passekudah Bay on the east coast of Sri Lanka. Very nice and quite beach and surroundings. We landed in Sri Lanka right after the floods that happened in December, and the staff did everything to ensure we were comfortable despite everything not being 100%. They went above and beyond for us, made us feel really happy and extremely flexible with us. Really appreciate the quality of the people they have working in Maalu Maalu, definitely will come back

The location of the hotel is perfect and the beach in front of the hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly, helpful and very thoughtful in every manner. The staff were paying attention to everything small thing which was very impressive. Special thanks goes to Mr Dammika the Manager for organising everything so well and also Mr Munas for his excellent service.

No disturbances on the beach at all !! Very seldom you find something like this for yourself only. Very peaceful and great place to stay !! The Sunny weather and sandy beach was a perfect location for our stay ! We prefer privacy for our stay and which we found at Giman Free Beach Resort. Great staff and free wi fi, great sea food straight from the local fisher folk from the daily catch !! We were told there is traditional Ayurveda treatment at the Resort by our friendly UK guest at the Resort but we did not have time to experience same. We will be back next year !!

A splendid outdoor pool resides between the beach and Amaya Beach Passikudah, a resort offering spacious rooms and suites with private balconies and free WiFi. Loved the place. When some guests tried to use the pool not wearing swimwear such as bikini or burkini the staff approached them and informed them that outside clothes and scarves are not acceptable in the pool. Good for the staff for having the training and courage to maintain standards.
