I honestly cannot say enough good things about this family and my entire stay. The owner made everything unbelievably easy. He arranged a my pick up from a very early morning flight from Colombo, set up a safari for me literally an hour after I arrived, and even organized my ride to my next stop in Kandy. He was so kind and understanding right from the start. I hadn’t exchanged money yet and he didn’t want to miss the chance to go on the safari, so he lent me the money until I could pay him back. Gestures like that are so rare and genuinely meant a lot!!! Safari at minneriya national park was one of the greatest experiences. Such a sweet and kind guide (set-up by the owner so have him do it for you!!) picked up/dropped off at the hotel. We saw over 40 elephants. It was spectacular and so much fun! Breakfast was fantastic, and they were incredibly accommodating with food in general. When I arrived, I was welcomed with a cup of tea and some snacks, and every breakfast afterward was delicious. It was also lovely chatting with the owner’s wife—she’s such a joyful, warm person and has the most beautiful garden. The room itself was good it had everything you need. It had a mini fridge stocked with water and pop at very affordable prices, which was super convenient. The walk to Sigiriya Rock was very close I think it took me 30 minutes to the entrance and 15 from the exit. You can take a tuk-tuk if you want, the owner will book it. The main street is about a 10 minute walk. Just a heads-up that it gets quite dark at night, so I have a flash light ready for when you go to dinner. I also want to give a huge shoutout to the owner’s son, who drove me twice. He was so sweet, helpful, and full of great information. Something he said really stuck with me—he mentioned that for them, it’s not about the money, it’s about the people. And you can truly feel that in the way they treat you. People first, always.

Heritance Kandalama, Klidné útočiště na kopcích, nabízí panoramatický výhled na skály Sigiriya. Naprosto bezchybné. Cena mírně vyšší, avšak adekvátní k exkluzivitě hotelu. Personál velmi vstřícný, všimavý. Pokoje čisté. Nezapomenutelná architektura.

I absolutely loved this place and I highly recommend it! The rooms are spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, and the bathroom has some real hot shower. The swimming pool is very nice to enjoy after a hike. The place is surrounded by nature and quiet, and at a walking distance from the best restaurant (Kenoli) and from the best spa (Serendip), and also at 20 min walk from the entrance of the fortress of Sigirya. You can get free bottled water anytime. The place is safe as there is always someone at the entrance. The owners are also very kind, this place is full of good energies and very peaceful. Being a hotel only run by women, I truly appreciate the concept behind this establishment. It also adds more meaning and empowering touch to the whole experience. The staff was warm, attentive and genuinely accommodating throughout our stay. The manager personally checked in with us daily and the housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room spotless everyday. On our last day, the team went above and beyond to arrange a lovely dinner by the pool for my partner and me which was truly memorable.

The hosts were so nice, very helpful, full of good recommandations. I would come back here anytime and for a few more days because it was so nice. Felt like home with this lovely family! The food was also very good and we were able to see how to make a curry with the host which was really fun :)

The staff was very kind and fullfilled every wish we had. They organized comfortable transportations by car to Polonaruwa, Lions Rock, Pidurangula Rock and even the longer trip to Nuwara Eliya for good and fair prices. Other nice aspects: good breakfast, if you want they bring it to your bed, in the afternoon good sandwiches, good international dinner, clean pool, clean whirpool, archery and so on worked as shown in the pictures. Best stay in Sti Lanka so far!

This place is beautiful with a nice big garden. Its absolutly quiet and you can listen to all the birds. This place offers free bikes, don't miss the lake tour at sunset which is really a great nature experience and your own small Safari. The staff offers you great help and organizes everything you need for your stay or your further travels! Thank you.

Tropicara Resort se nachází v destinaci Sigiriya a poskytuje ubytování s venkovním bazénem, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, zahradou a wellness centrem. Pidurangala Rock je 9,2 km daleko. That is an extremely cute place! Rooms are clean, hot water pressure is perfect. They have a really clean swimming pool and even warm, that was wonderful after all day road. Humidity level in room is good, there isn't any smell and I could dry all my clothes. Also they have a restaurant, I ate only breakfast, but it was good and tasty. Definitely recommended to stay here.
