But best of all was the welcoming, chilled and friendly staff, like Youssuf, Mohammed, Azzedine and Khalid, the owner. They are also very helpful and gave us good recommendations, like connecting us with Abdul, a nice taxi driver who shared some history about the town and the surroundings on the way to the excellent beach south of the town.

The ryad is situated in a great location in the medina, perched high on a hill that offers an excellent view of the city from the rooftop terrace. The staff gave us a very warm welcome, and provided tea on our arrival. They also provided tea and cookies upon returning from sightseeing for the day. They were there for our every need. We enjoyed the private use of the pool. The room was very clean and secluded, with a wonderful patio that overlooked the city of Chefchaouen. The bathroom was large with a huge walk-in shower.
