Everything, from the luxurious and warm welcome to the very last bits of details, Danna did a great job. Special mention for Amirul, the lovely staff who works at the restaurant. He went above and beyond to make our daughter a nice bowl of chicken soup noodle when he realised that her bowl of tom yum soup noodle was perhaps too spicy for a 6-year-old’s liking. We enjoyed the large pool, gym and the kids play area!

Our stay at Casa Del Mar was perhaps the most ideal, relaxing stay we have ever experienced. My husband actually sat still for several days, poolside, and read a book (!!!), dipped in the pool occasionally, slept in the shade, meditated on the ocean scene spread out before him (jet skis far enough in the distance to be interesting but not noisy, parasails colorfully dotting the warm blue skies against puffy white clouds). Breakfast was declicious with western and suburb local offerings—-and plenty of everything. Bar service was exceptional throughout the day. We dined on site one night and the menu, food, and service on the beach was, again, exceptional. The entire staff was all smiles and eager to please—-we felt so very welcome. And—drum roll: the turndown service each evening was charming! We would go out to dinner (the hotel is steps away from the throng of downtown Cenang with all it’s shopping and dining options) though the facility itself feels miles removed) and when we’d return to our room, the lights were dimmed, soft jazz was playing on the internet radio, the sheets were exquisitely “turned” with clever little tokens of paper messages about the weather forecast for the next day, suggestions of what to do, etc. It was like getting a fortune cookie on your bed (without the calories!). Speaking of calories, as part of the turndown service, they also provided large ceramic mugs with fixings for either tea or hot chocolate. And they always had a jar of peanuts and coconut cookies to nibble on throughout the day. And we strongly encourage folks to reserve a “high tea” at least one afternoon. Their tiered trays of savory and patisserie dainties was just as delightful as everything else. We originally considered staying at the hotel further north—-the one with the rooms out over the water. But we opted to be within walking distance of town/activity and we are so very, very glad with out choice. Casa Del Mar is an exceptional hotel and great value!

The room was spotless and beautifully designed, making it feel like our own little oasis. What really stood out to us was the incredible hospitality. We arrived quite late, long after the kitchen had closed, but the staff still went out of their way to provide us with food. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us after a long journey. The personal touches throughout our stay made it unforgettable. Every member of the staff was so kind and attentive—it felt like they genuinely cared about making our experience special. One of our favorite features was the direct access to the pool from our room. Waking up and stepping straight into the pool was such a treat and added so much to the overall experience. La Villa Langkawi truly offers a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and heartwarming service. We left feeling completely pampered and can’t wait to come back again. Ambong Rainforest Retreat offers an adult-only getaway amidst tropical surroundings. Located on a steep hill within the rainforest, rooms are only accessible via long staircases. The room, location and service was great! Amazing vegan restaurant (also for non-vegn people) and the stuff is so kind and helpfull!
