Octant Douro is set in the southern margin of the Douro River, km 41 of the N222 road. It is 10 km from the centre of Castelo de Paiva, 40 km from Porto, 60 km from Porto International Airport and 160 km from the Spanish border. It was all in the details: the most wonderful stay. My only regret is not staying longer.

With its own orchard and vineyard, this 4-star hotel is situated 800 metres from Lamego’s centre.

Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner.

The property also offers accommodation for disabled guests. Beautiful design, clean rooms, bathrooms. The pool area is clean and neat with a beautiful view. Breakfast is good, dinner was great. Really nice and welcoming hosts and staff especially Yuha:)

The property has mountain and garden views, and is 17 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. Lamego Cathedral is 11 km from the farm stay and Lamego Museum is 11 km away. Amazing place with a beautiful view, kind staff and good breakfast. IT feels like home. The room is stylish and luxurious and bigger than described!

With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio. The country house has family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. This pace is beautiful. It is very peaceful, the staff are attentive. The beds were super comfortable. There is everything in the kitchen you need to create a lovely meal. This was very welcome after weeks of travelling I enjoyed being able to prepare delicious food for my family.

You hear the birds, you see birds flying, you hear the river. The swimming pool is amazing. The water was a perfect temperature to refresh without being too cold. This is a perfect getaway from city life. The hosts are so welcoming and eager to help. They encourage guests to ask for what they need and they are extremely accommodating. For instance, we had the privilege to choose our room and during breakfast they asked us if we wanted eggs made in any way we liked.

Lavandeira Douro Nature & Wellness also provides an indoor pool and a sauna for guests to relax in. The area is popular for hiking, and bike hire is available at the accommodation. An indoor play area is also available at Lavandeira Douro Nature & Wellness, while guests can also relax in the garden. We loved every minute of our experience at Lavandeira. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. We particularly enjoyed learning about the properties wines from Philippe - he went above and beyond to make our stay special. The property is beautiful and our room exceeded our expectations. It was a bit quieter on the Monday and Tuesday when so stayed so we also had the spa and swimming pools to ourselves - we were spoiled! We are telling our friends and family about the hotel and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway - with amazing wine & food of course!

Guests can participate in the farm’s activities. Those looking for relaxation can use the hot tub overlooking the valley. Indulge yourself with the variety of therapies available at the Spa. There are events rooms available. A pearl in the heart of Douro Valley. This place is out of the way, but so worth it! Hospitality was amazing. We stayed in the suites that are next to the running stream. We heard it running all night. The spa was cozy after a long day in the rain. Breakfast was a feast. It was off-season, so we were the only guests. From May to October they are generally at a full booking.. I can understand why. Highly recommend!!
