One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff was so genuinely caring that by the end of my stay, I was left with a tender, friendly warmth, long hugs, and a reluctance to say goodbye. The entire restaurant staff, including the chef, receptionists, and housekeeping staff, were so attentive and caring. Jose, in particular, was like an old friend. The entire interior, the room amenities, the toiletries, the pillow menu, the bedding, the restaurant, the lobby, and the gym—everything was of the highest quality. The breakfast, the sparkling wine from the mainland's own winery, and the dinners in the restaurant, which only opens at 7:30 PM, is open three to four hours a day, five days a week, and the chef comes out to serve your meal—all of it was fantastically delicious. Rooms were sometimes cleaned twice a day, and every request and issue was resolved within minutes. It's a rare occasion when the staff often anticipates a guest's needs, providing exceptional service.

This is a lovely, well-maintained property. The owner André was extremely kind and welcoming. We were very comfortable and particularly enjoyed the large settee, excellent kitchen and comfortable bed. The patio at the rear was pleasant and very sheltered. The laundry facilities were easy to use and detergent was available, which was very useful. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

I had a great view of the beautiful garden and enjoyed waking up to the sound of birds singing. Breakfast was very good, served in a room with a nice view and plenty of natural light. The room was spacious, above the usual standard, and had a pleasant balcony.

With its privileged location on Angra’s Main Square, the Azoris Angra Garden – Plaza Hotel is well-positioned to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Location is the best in Terceira. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast buffet

The hotel rooms with views and balconies are exceptional, especially the junior suite overlooking the ocean. Front desk staff are great, at first they gave me junior suite without the ocean view because it was close to the family room I booked but I when I requested to change it to the one shown in the photos they were very cooperative. We were welcomed with fruits in the room, and on the second day they provided biscuits and cheeses in the afternoon which my kids and I enjoyed after being out in the morning. The swimming pool is large, had an amazing view with lots of lounging chairs nearby. Suitable for all ages. One of us just faced slow service in the bar where he ordered tea and sweet, and it took so long (more than 30 mins) without anyone bringing the order or showing any sign of it being prepared. He then had to cancel the order because it took too long. Breakfast was good, it had the basics, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs were available, along with a selection of cheeses, cold cuts, pancakes, fruits, cereal, bread & pastry. There was special egg orders for an extra charge. They had lactofree and almond milk available in addition to normal milk. Hotel location was great, walkable to the nearby center (around 10 mins or more depending on where you want to go). Parking is available at the hotel for free.
