Offering garden views, O Refúgio - Espaço natural, amplo e privado is an accommodation located in Angra do Heroísmo, 600 metres from Silveira Beach and 2.3 km from Zona Balnear da Prainha Beach. We arrived late & tired. Host met us on the curb, and was most helpful, attentive and informative. House is immaculate and interesting. Would be well suited to a family visit. (Kids will like lofty secondary beds, I guess) Comfortable all around. We loved the back patio with traditional outdoor Azorian kitchen with wood oven and cooker. Host made a bunch of good suggestions for food, etc. Not a complaint, but it's a little out of the way. We quite liked the neighborhood. Makes for a quiet pleasant stay, but not much going on in the immediate vicinity, if that's important to you. While we could have walked, we ended up driving to old Angra. (Easy parking, free parking there). Angra was our favorite town in the Azores.
