Breakfasts from the chef are fantastically delicious, like works of art, great quality, great ingredients with amazing views.Thank you very much. We had great time.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff was so genuinely caring that by the end of my stay, I was left with a tender, friendly warmth, long hugs, and a reluctance to say goodbye. The entire restaurant staff, including the chef, receptionists, and housekeeping staff, were so attentive and caring. Jose, in particular, was like an old friend. The entire interior, the room amenities, the toiletries, the pillow menu, the bedding, the restaurant, the lobby, and the gym—everything was of the highest quality. The breakfast, the sparkling wine from the mainland's own winery, and the dinners in the restaurant, which only opens at 7:30 PM, is open three to four hours a day, five days a week, and the chef comes out to serve your meal—all of it was fantastically delicious. Rooms were sometimes cleaned twice a day, and every request and issue was resolved within minutes. It's a rare occasion when the staff often anticipates a guest's needs, providing exceptional service.

We arrived late & tired. Host met us on the curb, and was most helpful, attentive and informative. House is immaculate and interesting. Would be well suited to a family visit. (Kids will like lofty secondary beds, I guess) Comfortable all around. We loved the back patio with traditional outdoor Azorian kitchen with wood oven and cooker. Host made a bunch of good suggestions for food, etc. Not a complaint, but it's a little out of the way. We quite liked the neighborhood. Makes for a quiet pleasant stay, but not much going on in the immediate vicinity, if that's important to you. While we could have walked, we ended up driving to old Angra. (Easy parking, free parking there). Angra was our favorite town in the Azores.

Hotel Do Caracol boasts an expansive wooden terrace with a swimming pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The staff made everything for us to feel like we would be at home. Extremely helpful, nice and professional. Location is perfect, facilities on a good level.
