So beautiful with the river rushing through trees. The bed was completely luxurious and the attention to detail outstanding. The biscuits given with tea were home made, as were the scented shower bombs - just amazing. I asked for a takeaway breakfast which Tanya happily provided which was delicious. One of the best places I've stayed in South Africa. Would 100% go back.

This guest house offers award-winning cuisine in the tranquil setting of KwaZulu Natal’s Drakensberg Mountains, right on the border of Giants Castle Nature Reserve. - Caster and Buhle were excellent hosts and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and looked after during my stay - I ended up staying ten days and had booked a room with separate lounge area which was a winner. Suggest that option for longer stays. - Fire in my room during turndown service - The food was fantastic - I loved the views and time on the deck with a cup of coffee was just what the dr ordered - Tumi, the cat was adorable - The housekeepers are thorough and they even put my pjs in my bed so electric blanket would warm them! - Spa treatments with Buhle was relaxing and highlight of my afternoon - The owner (Mouse) took some time to catch up and listened to my feedback - Amen, the gardener was so friendly and always made time for a hello and chat.

Situated within 12 km from Mooi River, surrounded by meadows, Midlands Saddle and Trout offers an array of activities from fishing, mini golf and horse riding. It was a pleasure to stay at Midlands Saddle. Everything was perfect. They didn't even once complain about noise to our group. I needed our stay was perfect. Wish to visit very soon 🤗🤗
