We booked this hotel for our last day because it is convenient to the airport. We had a lovely, quiet room with a large patio and sea view. The proprietor was friendly, welcoming, gave us a great room, good suggestions for things to do on our last day in Santorini, and arranged our transportation to the airport. The room came with breakfast but we had to leave before breakfast was served. To our delight, on our way to the taxi we were presented with a very generous sack breakfast which was delicious!!!

The rooms are standard, but with a decent balcony enjoying good views of the ocean. However, what made Hotel Olympia an exceptional place to stay is the hotel staff, lead by Despina. The rooms are cleaned daily to a very high standard. I accidentally left a small amount of money on the floor and was amazed to find it placed on the table when I returned after the room has been cleaned. In an island notorious for exploring tourists, this level of honesty was truly refreshing and worthy of special mention. It would be remiss not to mention the remarkable Despina. Santorians are not noted for their friendliness towards tourists, compared to other parts of Greece, but in Despina the hotel has a hostess who is both friendly and genuine and who is extremely competent at her job.

It was exceptional accommodation. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable inside and out on the terrace with spa. Dimitri and staff where fantastic. Nothing! was too much trouble for him. Was one of the most relaxing holidays I’ve ever had due to the accommodation and atmosphere of the environment so tranquil. Everything within walking distance or a €20 cab drive to the further areas but very busy destinations compared to Pygros The other areas are worth a visit and it’s just magic when you get home to your accommodation. The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable - in the center but in a very quiet street.The staff is very kind and helpful. We needed a family room with two separate rooms, which we got. We spent two days at the hotel.
