The familiy who owns it was very very sweet. The room was clean and very big aswell. The Host answered all of my questions and even helped me with my transfer to an ATM and also to my next destination.The breakfast was delicious. I would love to stay there again someday. I reget that I booked my safari trip before i arrived there because she also offered me a safari trip. Keep that in mind before your book your trip online. :)

We had the most beautiful experience at Leel's cottage. Leel and his family are wonderful, kind and genuine people who make your stay unforgettable. The room is beautifully decorated, you'll be amazed by Leel's craftsmanship. We enjoyed just sitting on the porch with the swinging chair and enjoying nature. If tranquility is what you are looking for, then this place is right for you. Leel is also a very knowledgeable, experienced and passionate safari guide. We had the best experience exploring the national park away from the beaten tracks. He pointed out so many animals which might have gone undiscovered for the untrained eye. Another highlight is the homemade food! Do not miss out on dinner! Leel's wife is a beautician, so you can get professional treatment there as well. I was very happy with my manicure. We left with a heavy heart as it felt we made wonderful friends.

This is the best hotel out of the 10 we have stayed in during our visit to Sri Lanka. The room had everything we could possibly want. Food was the best we have experienced. Wonderful views from the room and pool. great for a few days to wind down.

The hotel owner was super nice and helpful. We asked him about safaris in the different national parks around and he organized it all for us for the next day and it was right what we wanted! You get varied breakfast and can eat it in the beautiful garden, where we once had a view on a wild peacock. Great value for your money!

We will forever cherish the memories we made at the green paradise cottage! The whole family was so caring and welcoming. They truly represent Sri Lankan hospitality. Our sons played together, laughed, ran, swam in the river although they didn’t speak the same language. They took turns offering to hold our baby to allow us to eat or shower or just get ready. We immediately felt at home. The room was spacious, a crib was provided for our baby, there was an AC and mosquito nets. The garden is so lush and peaceful. The food was delicious (we had both breakfast and dinner here) The safari they organized for us was incredible. The cottage is about 20 min away from the park entry. We saw so many elephants and our guide Pasindu was knowledgeable, drove safely, helped us set up both our kids with their car seats in the jeep, and was genuinely nice. We are so happy we chose to come here instead of way too popular Yala. There weren’t many jeeps and everyone was respectful of the animals, something that was very important to us. We highly recommend staying here and hope we get to one day revisit Sandaru, Yenul and their family ❤️ Thank you for everything Laura and Joseph

The room was fresh and spacious and well decorated. The Location was ideal. We were welcomed with a great drink and a cold towel. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. Even with all the wonderful aspects of the property, the staff was the standout. The main manager was so professional and knowledgeable and very present. He took care of a small issue with concern and speed. The experienced waitress who is the mom of a little girl provided world class service; we looked forward to seeing her at every meal.
