The rooms are absolutely stunning (beautifully decorated), the food is locally sourced (I had grilled fish, with some garlic sauce & mămăliguță, zacuscă, cheese, eggs, pear jam - not in that order - all yummy!!) & the food was cooked in their tradițional bucovinean style. I ended up buying some of their produce to take back with me to the USA. I slept really well, which was due mainly to the high quality bedding provided. Very good location from the city center, walkable, and the host is a licensed tourist agent! Finally, I highly recommend trying out their wine!!

When I first checked in about five minutes after booking, I was met by man who was expecting me and showed me to my room. He did not speak English, and I did not speak Romanian; as such he called, an English speaker to assist us. The next day, after a long day of driving and touring around, I had dinner at the restaurant, which is very delicious. At the end of my meal, they offered me a drink on the house, made with “fruits and alcohol“ which warmed me up (I had a cold), was quite tasty, and help me sleep shortly after. That night, before going to bed, I went down to look for a glove that I lost, which I hoped was somewhere around my car or in the parking area. Two staff members saw me looking for it and came over to help (I never found it 😔). Overnight, it snowed when I was putting my belongings into my car, one of the staff members came out and cleared the snow off of my car for me. in the limited instances where I interacted with staff, who spoke Romanian, and very little English, and I speak Romanian, they were very patient with me, and we somehow figured out what we were trying to communicate through charades.
