Diversity is the norm in Schöneberg, in Western Berlin, and the area is steeped in bohemian style. Friedrichshain is where lovers love and the young-at-heart play. The conversation—and coffee—flows in Boxhagener Platz’s eateries. The famous East Side Gallery memorial is a stretch of the Berlin Wall covered in murals.

Berlin is a fast-growing city where innovation and diversity come together to create a young and exciting culture. Join a walking tour and you’ll find plenty of jaw-dropping street art and experience the same music scene that drew in former residents David Bowie and Iggy Pop. The city is also one of Europe’s major startup capitals, with new companies opening every week.
However, the city’s biggest attractions are its historic landmarks. The Reichstag wows visitors with its shiny glass dome, while sections of the graffiti-covered Berlin Wall—which divided the city for almost three decades—still stand in Potsdamer Platz. The iconic Brandenburg Gate has become a symbol of reunification since the wall fell in 1989 and is undoubtedly one of the highlights of any visit.
In the summer, the weather is perfect for seeing the city on foot or enjoying a picnic in Tiergarten Park.
In the winter visitors flock to Germany’s capital to see festive Christmas Markets like the annual Berliner Weihnachtszeit located behind Alexanderplatz. Bundle up and sip on mugs of hot Glühwein while you check out all the stalls. You might even pick up a few souvenirs to remind you of this fairytale setting.

Berlin is a really interesting city.
April 22, 2024
Berlin is a really interesting city. One could spent 3 weeks visiting expositions and locations every day and still not be able to see everything. Public transport is top notch. Food is not that great, I personally didn't like the food from the best 2 restaurants on Uber Eats at all. It was barely edible. Although, there are some great restaurants around the center.
I find Berlin a fascinating city.

I find Berlin a fascinating city. There is so much history and there are the old and new buildings to see, plus remnants of the Cold War. There are plenty of museums and other sites to see such as the Citadel in Spandau, Museums Island, Technic Museum, TV Tower, the East Side Gallery (remains of the Wall) and the Wall memorial along Bernauer Strasse. There is a huge choice of food and so many places to eat that you will never go hungry. The city covers a huge area but public transport is good and comparatively cheap; there are buses, trams and overground/ungerground trains. Finally, the historic city of Potsdam with its "Bridge of Spies" and palaces lies within the outer Berlin transport zone and can be reached in 30 to 40 minutes

Excellent transport connections with the bus, tram and train networks. I would recommend using the 24 hour day tickets for getting around the city. Useful maps are available at the BVB office at Alexanderplatz station. Visited Brandenburg gate,Siegessaüle,checkpoint Charlie and the excellent museumsinsel area.

The city is wonderful, though I spent my time in East Berlin, I'm sure it is true for the whole city. Where I was there are lots of cultural, and musical activities, including the Staatsoper unter den Linden. Other events, beautiful parks, friendly people and fantastic chocolate, especially Rausch Chocolate Shop on Charlottenstrasse. There are great shops, including the fabulous Dussmann music and bookstore. All within walking distance of each other. OTOH, the shops are all closed on Sundays, seems it a law. Restaurants and other attractions may be open.
Berlin has a lot to offer its visitors.

Berlin has a lot to offer its visitors. The best thing I've done was to purchase the "Berlin Welcome Card". It provided me with unlimited use of public transportation and 25 % discount to many attractions, saved me a decent amount of money and allowed me to go around the city with no problems. I must stress that public transportation in Berlin is excellent and getting around is very easy, fast and up to the schedule! My suggestion to other visitors is to prepare in advance and make the plan what should be visited and seen day-by-day. Read a little or more about the events and/or attractions you plan to attend or visit. It helped me a lot to enjoy my stay and discover beauties of Berlin.
The history provided at the attractions was well presented.

The history provided at the attractions was well presented. The WW2 attractions provided great inside into the atrocities of Hitler. I don’t know why attraction’s aren’t open 7 days a week though. The Reichstag Building, Hitler’s Bunker, Check Point Charlie, Topography of Terror and the Hohenschönhausen Memorial (Cold War Prison) were amongst the best ones to visit.
