Chinatown
0.6 miles from downtown
Liverpool is home to Europe’s oldest Chinese community. So, it’s no surprise that you’ll find the best noodles in town here. Duke Street’s glut of affordable pan-Asian eateries draws a young, studenty crowd. The area’s hard to miss – two bronze lions and a multi-coloured, 15-metre high Imperial Arch welcome you to the neighbourhood.

Cavern Quarter
0.5 miles from downtown
Centred on Mathew Street, this is the boisterous birthplace of the Merseybeat. Join the jamboree of Beatlemaniacs and ’60s nostalgists at the Cavern Club. A replica of the bulldozed original, it still delivers a hard day’s night of music and merriment. If DJs and cocktail bars are more your scene, Victoria Street’s the place to be seen.

Hope Street Quarter
0.7 miles from downtown
This upscale area pops to life like a period TV show, all cobbled alleys and grand Georgian houses. Visit 60 Hope Street, a listed-townhouse turned swanky bistro that’s popular among theatre luvvies. Get in on the act and see a play at the Everyman Theatre. It’s been a bohemian breeding ground for politically-charged drama since 1964.

St George's Quarter
0.2 miles from downtown
This old Victorian hub seems stiff at first. Its numerous Neoclassical buildings are hard to tell apart. Yet the stoic columns of St George’s Hall stand out like Liverpool’s answer to the Parthenon. Here, passionate locals gather to celebrate famous football victories or show their political colours. Don’t be shy, the more the merrier!

Liverpool is a city of rapid growth and a hotspot for pop culture.
Liverpool used to be one of the UK’s most important trade and migration ports, and today the city's focal point is the old docks. Here, the contemporary Museum of Liverpool traces the city’s roots, while the Tate Liverpool gallery showcases modern art from around the world. The Royal Albert Dock is known for its Liverpool ONE shopping mall and is home to the Beatles Story museum. Learn all about Liverpool’s most famous musical export, then take a magical mystery tour of all the places associated with the "fab four" around town. From childhood homes and schools to Penny Lane and Strawberry Fields, the city center is full of sites that inspired some of their most memorable songs. And if that’s not enough, catch a gig at the legendary Cavern Club, where The Beatles often performed before they were famous.
For many, Liverpool isn't only synonymous with music, but soccer as well. If you can score tickets, be sure to catch a game at Anfield—home to Liverpool FC—or else take a tour of the club’s museum to learn about its historic achievements.
Even if you spent eight days a week here, you could still find plenty more things to do and see, but Liverpool can even be enjoyed over a quick breakl

It's a small city, so 2 days may be enough to explore Liverpool. Compared with Manchester, I prefer Liverpool for its tranquility and scenery. The architecture in Liverpool is more historical, signature, and dreamy. It was easy to travel within the city using public transportation, with no need for cab. But to travel to Anfield, it may be confusing for tourists to use google Maps, I ended up getting lost and coming back to the city. Food and services in Liverpool is also fairly priced:)

We had a short stay just to see Liverpool football club play and it was a short walk to the stadium and easy to find. The staff were very friendly and answered any questions asked. The staff helped with finding places to eat in the evening and always with a smile. Great staff, great place to stay. Not enough time to see Liverpool properly.
It was amazing!

It was amazing! Lots to see and do, people were friendly. Magical Mystery Tour was fantastic and good value for money. Beatles tribute show at the Cavern is a must. We crammed lots into 3 days - 2 cathedrals, The Liverpool Wheel, Ferry cross the Mersey, Beatles Museum, The Liver Building, some delicious meals out and lots more

I happen to like Liverpool, great for a night out and nightlife or even watch the sun set over the Mersey then a few drinks before a light snack - Liverpool is pretty affordable if you know where to go, plenty of good watering holes and places to while away an evening. Good museums and art galleries plus excellent transport links, so come pay Liverpool a visit and become an honorary scouser1

There was so much to see and do in Liverpool, River trips, Museums and great buildings if you like that sort of thing. We were spoilt for choice when it came to the abundance of restaurants and bars. Matthew Street had a great atmosphere, even though we visited on a Monday night. We didn't get time to see as much as we wanted but would definitely go back and continue where we left off. We actually preferred it to a similar trip we did to London.
