Beautiful city, everything is much larger that it appears! Walking is the best way to get real feel of eternal city, but recommendation is to buy week pass for public transportation and get to hotel with tram/bus/train.
Drugi dan smo šetale Rimom, treći dan smo otišle u Pompei, a zadnji dan ostavile smo za Koloseum i Forum Romanum.
Odlična povezanost metroa, autobusa i tramvaja.
Rome is an open-air museum. Besides the famous attractions, I liked the churches and catacombs the most. Public transport is chaotic. The metro is accurate, buses not so. Trams are ok. There is no place to sit on the bus/tram station. There is also no arrival table (very rare). In the vehicle very rarely notice the station. Vehicles can skip the station, swipe by hand at the station and in the bus press the button for the next station. Prepare to run over the street. They drive crazy and do not stop. Watch how to walk the street at night. Lightning is poor. Were at the time of the strike. Take a look at the schedule when the metro will not work because of the works. Works are planned for June, July, August.
The whole city is a one big monument. Wherever you go, you are surrounded with attractions. But, it is too dirty and there are too many boring street vendors offering different kind of things and services.
