Praga Poludnie
2.9 miles from city centre
What a difference a few years make. Perched across the river, the edgy Praga district has long been uncharted territory for many left-bank Varsovians. Not anymore. Creative hubs and outré bars around Mińska Street make it Warsaw’s hottest ticket. Head to the “beach” for beer and bonfires, then grind till sunrise at Temat Rzeka Nightclub.

Wola
1.3 miles from city centre
Wola has been through a lot. Dour apartment blocks and office buildings paper over the cracks. Yet beneath your feet, remnants of old ghetto walls hint at a traumatic past. Learn about Warsaw’s resurrection after WWII at the powerful Warsaw Uprising Museum, or taste history with a communist-themed lunch at Under the Red Hog restaurant.

Ursynow
5.8 miles from city centre
Oddly enough, Ursynów is known as ‘Warsaw’s bedroom’. This residential area par excellence is crammed with modern housing, where young professionals hit the hay after a day behind their desks. At weekends joggers and pram-pushers descend on Kabaty Forest, and chaps in flat caps bet on horses at the Służewiec Racetrack.

Bielany
4.5 miles from city centre
Bielany is one of Warsaw’s greenest districts. Most of the apartment blocks and pre-war semis are camouflaged behind foliage, and Las Bielański Park offers an escape from city clamour. Pack your picnic hamper and head to Las Młociński for an al fresco feast, or sample monastic life at the 17th-century hermitage hidden in the greenery.

Ochota
1.8 miles from city centre
Ochota’s residents are usually in a hurry. During the week, most scurry towards the city centre to work, which makes the weekend the best time to join Ochota’s perpetual motion. Zoom around the go-kart track in Blue City Mall, watch out for whizzing frisbees in Szczęśliwicki Park, or take to the luge and dry ski slope for some downhill fun.

Praga Pólnoc
2.2 miles from city centre
Is Warsaw the new Berlin? Creative types are breathing new life into Praga Północ, with vibrant art spaces sprouting up ten a penny in the factories and crumbling warehouses. See the industrial-inspired sculptures in the old Koneser vodka distillery, or wander down Ząbkowska Street – an area that teems with offbeat watering holes.
Places to stay from £5 per night
The story of Warsaw’s past is told though its architecture, from restored Gothic buildings to steel-and-glass high-rise buidlings. Take the Royal Castle, a stately building that served as a royal residence for around 300 years before being completely destroyed in WW2 – or the Palace of Culture and Science, a giant structure dating back to Poland’s Soviet-influenced era. Still Poland’s tallest building today, the latter contains theatres, bars, museums and a viewing terrace on its 30th floor.
This complex story further unfolds in museums across the city. The Warsaw Rising Museum, for instance, traces the history of the Warsaw Uprising in 1944 via interactive displays, photographs and film archives.
However, Warsaw is every bit the modern European capital, with gorgeous green spaces like Lazienki Park, and a mix of high-calibre Polish and fusion restaurants, cosy bars and galleries in its beautifully restored old town. Take a guided tour of Old Praga to discover its hidden gems – and when night falls, take a wander around or head out to Mazowiecka Street to experience the best of Warsaw’s nightlife and entertainment.

A really nice place to stay.
3 June 2018
A really nice place to stay. The hotel looks beautiful from the outside as well as has a really pretty garden. The room itself is really nice as well. Nice breakfast! People are also very nice, but I would suggest learning some English in the future :)
The excellent choice of very good restaurants.

The excellent choice of very good restaurants. The green open parks where you can go walking as it is very safe, very friendly city to pets. The polish people are extremly friendly to other nations and will help to find your way around the city. It has happened to us as we could not find our way through one of the many parks. The man even explain to us some historic stories of that neighborhood. And last, Take the time to stop and have a cup of coffee served with a delicious piece of their cakes.

It is hard to comprehend that the city was flattened during WW2. and has now been rebuilt as it was. The bus tour organised by Bus City tours was excellent to begin my stay. I also completed 2 walking tours with Orange Umbrella, one WW2 and the second Jewish Warsaw. Both very good and I found WW2 more interesting. Even if you are not musical, go to a Fryderek Chopin Piano Recital. It was absolutely brilliant. If you are over 70 years of age, city bus travel is free. Enjoy the red squirrels in the parks

Very clean and comfortable room.
11 January 2023
Very clean and comfortable room. I have stayed in mostly independent hotels in Europe in the past and I decided to go with an American brand for once and it didn't disappoint. While I realize we are in a time of inflation, I was thinking it could have been a little cheaper, however, considering the proximity to the train station, public trams, culture center and the shopping center, the conveniences made up for all of that. Check in was great because I arrived 2 hours early and the receptionist was great because she told me she had rooms available and allowed me to check in early. In general, I have traveled throughout the whole country and this has been one of the nicest stays of any hotel in Poland. If you want a 4-5 star hotel, I definitely would recommend this hotel.
