Home of the Cowboys, Dallas is one of the largest cities in Texas and boasts a fantastic arts scene, family-friendly attractions and authentic Tex-Mex paired with the city's creation – frozen margaritas.
The Arts District in Downtown Dallas features a host of interesting museums – from history and science to art and sculpture. The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza pays homage to President John F. Kennedy at the site of his assassination, while the Perot Museum of Nature and Science houses 11 informative exhibits in a contemporary building. Art lovers will be spoilt for choice with the Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center and Crow Museum of Asian Art located just a few steps from each other. Then there’s Meadows Museum, home to one of the largest collections of Spanish art in the United States, including works by masters like Picasso, Dalí and Goya.
For panoramic views over Dallas, head to the Reunion Tower, which features an outdoor observation deck at a height of 143 metres. It’s also well worth your time to visit the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, a 66-acre space that overlooks the White Rock Lake and showcases stunning seasonal blooms and festive displays year round. If you’re travelling with kids, Dallas Zoo promises an educational experience with activities like giraffe feeding, African safari and bird encounters. You can also get up close with penguins, exotic rainforest birds and plenty of marine life at the Dallas World Aquarium.

There's a lot of construction going on in Dallas and the Google maps are not picking up like it should.. a delay on turns I thought it was my phone for a minute, but when everyone in my vehicle tried with there phone we still had the same results.. I would definitely avoid highways when traveling (until it's fixed) Also the Yolk restaurant is normally my goto breakfast/ brunch spot, but this time around it was horrible..Anywho make sure you visit Mardi Gras daiquiri.. They Seafood, fish plates, and that cotton candy and head banger drink of the chain

I was in good spirits based on the reviews and and I’ve stayed at several Crown Plaza hotels, but this experience had to be the WORST. First, it’s over 100 degrees in Dallas, and the air barley worked, and there was a small vent in the far corner so the air wasn’t evenly distributed. Second, we were there for 4 days, and housekeeping didn’t change our bedding even After being requested. Third, on the last day my room and my sister’s adjoining room’s toilet stopped working the morning of checkout. We booked 3 rooms, and I definitely expected more. This location needs a complete upgrade, paint job, etc. We don’t be back!
Basic but nice.

Basic but nice. Downtown arts district and the jfk memorial are worth a look. Northpark mall is iconic with its art filled halls. Deep Ellum was interesting but crowded with a pretty wild crowd. State Fair of Texas is a classic.
I really enjoyed visiting the free Dallas Art Museum.

I really enjoyed visiting the free Dallas Art Museum... a great collection. I also went for a sad visit to Dealey Plaza, when JFK was assasinated. There are world class restaurants where I met old college friends and stylish bars where I met new friends.
Don't stay at the Extended Stay on Greenville.

Don't stay at the Extended Stay on Greenville. There is a homeless camp next to it and the hotel smells like weed. Have a meal at the La hacienda ranch in frisco. Great surroundings and good food.
