South Beach
0.4 miles from city centre
“SoBe” is the essence of Miami Beach, with buff bodies, flashy cars and a whole lot of hedonism –. Work on that tan while sipping a boozy “slushie” from Wet Willie’s. Recharge your disco batteries at the Botanical Gardens before heading to buzzing Española Way for an al-fresco dinner. Then party like it’s 1999 with SoBe’s high rollers at LIV or Mokai.

Surfside
6.2 miles from city centre
Good, clean living. Away from South Beach’s 24-hour party people, happy families cavort along Surfside’s Art Deco promenade. Savour mamma’s Italian pizza at Café Ragazzi, then slurp on a cool “froyo” (frozen yoghurt) from Serendipity. Don’t miss the third Thursday of each month, when there’s wholesome street food and a family-friendly party vibe.

Sun, sea and sand – the three key ingredients for a perfect retirement. Bal Harbour’s a quiet neighbourhood where silver-haired out-of-towners come to enjoy the good life. An island city located off the coast of Florida, Miami Beach offers endless stretches of sand, palm-lined promenades and art deco architecture. The tropical locale boasts luxurious oceanfront resorts, unbeatable nightlife and some of the prettiest beaches in the United States – from lively spots in the south to peaceful settings in the north.
Arguably one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations, Miami Beach’s South Beach paints a pretty picture – the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean skirting its white shores and bright lifeguard stands adding pops of colour. For incredible sunset views, head to the South Pointe Park Pier, located on the southernmost tip of the island. The playgrounds, volleyball courts and fitness equipment at Lummus Park provide plenty of opportunities to get active, while the beach running alongside is perfect for soaking up the sun. If you’re after a more peaceful retreat, Mid-Beach and North Beach offer lots of secluded palm-shaded spots to unwind.
Miami Beach is home to the world’s largest collection of art deco buildings, and a tour of the Art Deco Historic District will introduce you to this modern architectural style. You can start at Ocean Drive – one of the city’s most famous streets – lined with pastel-painted hotels that take on a neon glow at night. The strip is also home to the Versace Mansion, once the opulent home of the fashion icon. For trendy shopping and dining options, you can take a stroll along the pedestrian promenade of Lincoln Road.

Expensive with this new bs covid service fee added to every restaurant bill. And then they still want you to add tip? crazy A tip is to NOT visit Miami downtown. It is dead. Absolutely wasted. No life whatsoever. scary how this can happen in just a few years. Miami beach was still OK. I miss the possibility to have a bear in the shade while my wife takes the sun on the beach. Right now it is to separated. There are no normal supermarkets. All were small dirty shabby places run by homeless people lookalikes.

We stayed in South Miami beach just prior to Spring Break. I would not want to stay there during spring break as would have been too busy and noisy. The beach was great with beautiful warm water and white sand. The boardwalk was fantastic as it was wide and could accommodate bikers and walkers with ease.

We loved Giovanni Versace Mansion, it was next door to the Victor Hotel and we had an amazing meal there. The Cafe Americano restaurant in the Victor Hotel was excellent, food really good and the staff were exceptionally pleasant and efficient. We also dined in Joe's Stone Crab restaurant, it is an experience, beautiful food but very expensive. It is very easy to get around Miami beach, we walked everyplace. We took an excursion to the Everglades 5 hour round trip, very disappointing, would not recommend it.

The location is amazing it is a great place and the staff is more than accommodating. The people watching is the best and meeting strangers from all over the world and trading travel stories and learning about other cultures is amazing.
The beach and the area were beautiful.
8 March 2023
The beach and the area were beautiful. The room was awful, dirty floors with mold in the bathroom. Stove didn’t work well, one roll of toilet for 3 people for days, no trash bags were provided either. The porch very unclean and the view was the rooftop. Very disappointing, the photos are showing in the website are not compatible with the reality.
