I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The breakfast was amazing with a variety of options every morning. The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help, making us feel very welcome. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the center of Yogyakarta, which made exploring the city easy. For the price, it’s great value for money. On our last day, we had to leave early, and the staff thoughtfully prepared breakfast for us in advance. Communication was quick and efficient throughout our stay. The room was comfortable with air conditioning and a mini fridge, adding to the convenience. And we loved the beds. Highly recommend!

Ndalem Diajeng har gratis WiFi og ligger i Yogyakarta. Du kan benytte deg av hagen, fellesloungen og terassen. Everything was good! Christine is an amazing host and was willing to prepare the breakfast to go, gave us Mango to eat and some food along for our train ride. She also helped us with taking the buses and with some tips where to get what. Definitely recommend staying here. There is also a water dispenser, coffee and tea to drink whenever you like.

Dreamy location for surfers, the nicest staff possible. We loved every minute here. We could have stayed for weeks. We were delighted with everything.

One of the most memorable places we stayed during our 3 month travel. Ingrid made us feel straight away at home and helped us with a lot. We were able to rent a scooter at the accommodation so we could explore the area. Every morning a fresh breakfast with fruit! felt right at home here.

Didu's Homestay Bed & Breakfast ligger i Banyuwangi, 21 kilometer fra Watu Dodol, og har gratis WiFi, klimaanlegg og adgang til en hage med et utendørsbasseng. We had a great time at Didu's Homestay. Unfortunately far too short, but we will definitely be back. We were given a very warm welcome and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We travelled to Ijen on the very first evening. The tour was organised by the host and went smoothly. We had a really great guide who gave us lots of background information during the trip. Ijen really was an experience! I would say that you need to be reasonably fit, especially if you want to climb into the crater to look at the blue fire. We would also definitely recommend sturdy shoes and warm/rainproof clothing! The rooms and communal areas are beautifully and lovingly furnished. All in all, a great trip!

Manohara Resort ligger i Borobudur og har en hage, terrasse, restaurant og gratis WiFi. Her bor du 5 minutters gange fra Borobudur-tempelet og 40 kilometer fra Yogyakarta Tugu jernbanestasjon. We stayed for 2 nights at Dagi Abhinaya #2 which had the best sunrise view of Borobudur at 4:30 am! Although we arrived slightly after 8 pm, Ms Astuti the receptionist arranged for us to be taken to the restaurant where they served us afternoon tea of brownie and a sweet pastry with coffee/ tea. Our dinner orders of fried chicken and rice were promptly whipped up by the restaurant. The staff waited patiently for us to finish our meal and drove us to Dagi Hill (5 mins away) and another staff stationed there carried our bags to the cabin. My son was happy to find his extra bed ready and tucked in quickly. Kudos to Astuti the receptionist who made sure that all our needs were attended to (from arranging the timing for breakfast, mini-bus pick up from Dagi to the restaurant) so that we made it right on time to the lobby at 8:30 am to get our tickets and slippers, and meet with our guide before taking the buggy to the temple entrance ( right across the restaurant) just before the 9 am ascent. Astuti also helped to arrange for a driver/guide to take us to Candi Selogriyo. On the way, Mr Widodo took us to experience a local resto that served getuk pisang (banana snack) and a batik art store that had awesome hand-painted Borobudur batik. On the 2nd day, we upgraded to a picnic breakfast on Dagi hill (with full view of Borobudur) and they served an exquisite dessert of pancake and palm sugar syrup sauce, assortment of fruits, rice with stewed beef in a weaved basket box, fish soup, whole coconut with bamboo straw and herbal drink. The meal was accompanied by soothing gamelan music, and we learned to play the congkak game. As we stayed 2 nights, we got to climb up the temple twice (tickets and guide included) and enjoy it thoroughly!
