“The design and decoration were great (many soft tones of beige, light brown, light grey..): although the design is contemporary, there are many reminders that the buildings are old (the old apparent stones, antics furniture, etc.). We also liked the fact that the hotel was in fact standing around a yard/garden, which is at the end of a short street which connected it to one of the main plazas of the village; this make the place very peaceful. It must also be a very nice place to go to unwind.”
“We wanted to stay in an old villa type accommodation and we found this at La Balancal, very quaint, very old French country. It had lovely French country furniture which we love. It was quiet, private and our gite had an old stone well outside. Also provided was drying racks for our clothes which was awesome. Easy to walk into town roughly 15-20 minutes, a nice walk as partially in a rural area.”
“the Villa was amazing - clean and specious with great equipped kitchen and living room. we were 7 adults and two 1 yo there were cots and baby chairs and even baby walking car the hosts were great and very helpful. there is a big lawn and a pool we haven't used as it was too cold / it really made our stay in Provence great.”
“All six of us travelling together felt Hotel Mas Saint-Joseph was a jewel of Saint-Remy de Provence! Chantelle was a lovely hands-on owner who was charming and very attentive to all our needs. The continental breakfast was extensive, delicious and beautifully displayed. The rooms were lovely, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. An easy 8 minute walk to the heart of the village. It was a magnificent three day stay and one we will not soon forget!”
“It was very hot so Having a pool in the villas complex was ideal to relax after touring around the beautiful area of Provence. The pool area is much nicer than shown in the photos. We enjoyed our one bedroom villa, it had everything provided that we needed, including a BBQ. We enjoyed the privacy of the courtyard for meals. The complex is very quiet and is in easy walking distance to the centre of St Remy to wander the streets, eat in the many restaurants and enjoy just watching the people.”
