You’re miles from anywhere on a short but steep rise overlooking a spectacular loch. The house is much loved, a family home and escape for creative types…many rooms, many bathrooms, plenty of sofas and games and space.

We loved how comfortable, clean and beautifully appointed Shepard’s Forge Cottage was. The wood-burning stove made it especially cosy and welcoming, while the stunning views and peaceful countryside created a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. Having cows and sheep nearby added to the charm and made the setting feel truly rural and authentic. The cottage was in an incredible location on Loch Tay, making it a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.

A lovely cabin with everything we needed for our week long stay. Everything was as pictured and described. The location was absolutely perfect, right on the falls of dochart and with nice cafes and a few pubs within walking distance. The hosts were absolutely lovely and provided us with a comprehensive guide to the area and suggested things to do. We could not have felt more welcome, especially our dog!
