Hotels That Guests Love in Orvieto
  • This is a country house / villa about 5 or 10 minute drive from Orvieto. It is a classic mansion in the middle of vineyards and other Italian countryside. The condition of the place was very good, and the furniture was all classic. The room was very nice in a classic sense. The views are fantastic. Breakfast was good. The staff was helpful. Air conditioning was strong.

  • The villa could be reached by walk in around 10 minutes from the train and funicular station. I told them I would reach around 3 hours earlier than the check-in time, and my room was ready. The owner also offered me tea and cakes to rest for a while. Amazing view of Orvieto could be enjoyed, there is also a lovely swimming pool. Room and bathroom is very clean with plenty of towels for use. Bed is comfortable. They also let me leave my luggage after I checked out the next day to walk around Orvieto easily before I catch my train.

  • Beautiful villa and wonderful pool. Restaurant was very good (although service was quite slow on Saturday night as they were busy). Couple minutes drive to free funicular parking - great way to visit Orvieto!

  • Orvieto was over 40 degrees in the shade – coming down from the hill this lovely old villa, sitting between two rivers, surrounded by gardens, provided welcome relief – its massive structure remaining cool and the beautiful pool providing relief to the weary travellers. One evening we ate in the restaurant – the tables were laid out in the garden and the food was excellent.

  • Ippolito is homely, tranquil and gives you a sense of what life would have been like in the older times of Orvieto. The location is an easy walking distance to the village centre and its many historical attractions. Host, Anna-Lisa is incredibly kind. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Our room was spacious, decorated nicely according to its age, comfortable and had a lovely view of the countryside.
