Staff is super friendly and helpful, they booked us an early morning tuk-tuk ride to the airport (less than 30 minutes). Would definitely come back, highly recommend staying here!

Run by a local family, Villa Shade is a charming and peaceful property surrounded by green gardens, just 4 km from Negombo City. Bicycles are available for rent, while traditional Sri Lankan breakfast is served upon request at an extra cost. Very lovely, welcoming and helpful people, oriented towards healthy living through food and mindfulness. The villa is nicely decorated and some have a bathroom with an open air shower. The feeling can not be described in words! Very tasty food partially from their own garden, which can also be visited. The pool was a big plus after a very long trip. Even though the host, Mr. Lalith, was unable to be there in person due to an emergency work commitment, he stayed in touch with us throughout. He regularly called to check in and make sure everything was going smoothly, which we really appreciated. His care and attention, even from a distance, made us feel well taken care of. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and well-managed getaway!

The sound of the waves at night was so calming, and as fellow islanders, it was a sound we really appreciated. The place had all the basics we needed, and the fridge was super handy for storing all the delicious street fruit we picked up.
